Planning permission for new windows at side of house

Hi - my house (semi-d) has a bit of space to the side stretching out diagonally. Im planning on re-doing my kitchen at the rear of the house and would like to put in floor-to-ceiling windows in the back wall and also if possible for 2 meters at the side (so the rear corner of the house would have floor-to-ceiling windows)

The windows would not be visible from the road (standard square semi) and there is a high brick wall between us and next door. Their house is higher up then ours too so there would be no overlooking

Does need planning permission? I cant find anything online that explicitly says it wouldnt....

Is the development completely to the rear?
Will any of it Step out at the side?

You need somebody on the ground to view the site and advise you.
You can lodge a section 5 application to the council and they will officially state whether it’s exempt or not or engage an architect, engineer or Surveyor who will over see the works, keep you on the side of exempt and issue you with an opinion of compliance and exemption on completion.

    Yes
    But
Planning is not as difficult as you may think. And at least you’ll Have a drawing for a builder to price of.
