Heating timer stuck in RUN mode

    Hi folks,

Had to turn off power in the house yesterday and since coming back on the heating timer is stuck in RUN mode. I've tried to reset, changed program, adjusted every setting I can find but no joy. The manual says after a power cut it enters RUN mode by default until program is changed but I've tried that.

    It's this model:

    Any advice is most welcome!

It might not be your programmer, but a sticking zone valve micro switch.

Thanks but I've no heating zones. Just a combi with hot water and central heating.

I can't see why the timer would say RUN when I've switched it to OFF. The boiler continues to be powered even when OFF, whereas before it would turn off.

The thermostat is all that prevents it from heating the rads the whole time at the moment so not critical but would like to sort it.

    Thanks

I don't have that model but I think if you hit the advanced button, it should give you options like, Timed, Always on, holiday mode, etc. I think you may accidently set yours to always on.
Have you checked to see if there are any other buttons behind the panel?

I think this is the manual for your unit, have a look in there.

Thanks, I've checked that manual alright and done as you've said. The adv function acts as expected - turns on and off the blue light that indicates the unit is running, but even when the light is off, and the program is in off mode (all day is also a mode) run is showing and the boiler has power.

Tried adjusting the switch on the back to 7 day just to change something but that did nothing.

The MCB on that circuit tripped yesterday, I'm wondering did something go wrong on the timer. Everything else is working fine (pump, boiler, light, thermostat, all on that circuit)

Is there a chance that its being turned on by a frost thermostat?

No frost stat. Think I'll try to replace the unit if nothing resolves it today. Between the thermostat and TRVs it's not the end of the world, just a pain
