Just looking to see has anyone here had one of these, gonna be in the hunt in the coming weeks as the current car could do with being replaced.

Any major issues I should keep an eye out for?

Budget is gonna be around €14000 and preferably diesel.

They're a nice car. Heavily based on a MK5/MK6 Golf so any issues they'd have would apply to the Scirocco and fortunately there's nothing major that I know of. You're unlikely to go too far wrong if you find one that's been maintained properly.

Timing chains would be a huge issue in the petrol ones, as would various other issues with the 1.4tsi, if it has so much as a hint of a misfire I'd tread very carefully.

The diesel is probably a safer bet but makes it less of a sporty car.
