    Howdy All,

Need some advice on what pads to get for the car.

Been looking on micksgarage and the Juratek and Mintex seem to be the ones to go for, anyone have any bad experience with these?

Also, how can you tell if you need to replace the disks too?

    Cheers!

I've used Mintex a couple of times and they were good.

    Good guide here on discs...

i generally find ATE or Textar or Pagid the best

check these guys out they are generally very well priced and offer a better selection thank micksgarage . http://car-parts.mister-auto.ie/en/front-brake-pads_lg900005/

having said that i hate buying off micksgarage so im biased .

they have gotten my orders wrong more than once and then made me pay to return the items so i now refuse to buy from them

using mister auto for years without a single mistake . over 20 orders all perfect .
used micksgarage 3 times 3 mistakes and made me pay to send it back even though they were this wrong

one order i ordered brake discs and pads and they sent me a clutch kit
one order i asked for a haynes manual for a bmw 3 series they sent me one for an octavia
and last order i ordered wiper blades and they sent be the wrong size
all the while their customer service guy saying i was wrong and id have to pay to restock.

id pile my money on the table and make a bonfire out of it dancing around it topless drinking mead before id order off them again :D

I agree micks garage are definitely not great but mister autos failings are widely documented, they are truly terrible at getting orders correct, you have been lucky!

20 + times? must do the lotto on the way home :)

mister-Auto score 8.5 out of 10 on trustpilot with almost 2000 reviews
the uk version scores 8.9 out of 10 with 4500 reviews

all companies make mistakes not many are 3 for 3 .
i know i may have been lucky to have had no issues but you may have been just unlucky to have had yours
anyway it doesnt realy matter il continue to use them just as you will continue to use micks garage . each to their own :)

I don't use either, we have a trade account with the local factors but have a search on boards for mister auto :D

just read 11 pages of reviews on here acrosss 2 threads although both threads were fairly old . fairly mixed alright but more positive than negative most of negative feedback is about delivery times (which yes sometimes can be slow) and a few with mistaken orders where mister auto paid for the item to be shipped back and refunded no hassle .
i can live with that compared to micks where i was out of pocket . plus they have better prices and far far better selection

if they could sort their delivery times they would prob fair a lot better
