Question re CE Scheme / Turas Nua

    Hi all,

    A friend of mine has been on a Tus scheme for the last year, which was working in a shop, and it came to an end in Dec. She was hoping to remain in the same shop but continue on a CE Scheme. This was being worked on, and then she was called by Turas Nua.
    My question is, can she still pursue the CE Scheme placement now?

    Does the shop already have a ce placement allocated? If so, and it's available, I think there's a few weeks leeway to get a start date.

    If they don't already have a placement, this can take years to get sorted as there's a lot of paperwork involved, a scheme has to be able to take on another position (not easily done). In which case, she may be stuck going to turas nua.

    She hasn't been offered a place on the CE Scheme so will have to engage with Turas Nua. While she is with Turas Nua she will not be eligible for CE.

    Nothing - the shop has had CE Scheme participants before so it is not new to the business.
    I'll tell her to keep pushing on, worth a try.
