Connectig a Bridge to Virgin modem

Hi, I have the virgin set-top box but this wasn't providing great internet so the sent me a separate modem. I just received my Bridge (V2) and I'm wondering if I connect this to either the standalone modem or the virgin box? I imagine its the modem but am not sure. Thanks. Kind regards, Albert
