I am looking for a legal definition of "good character" in the context of a long term residency/citizenship visa application.
If someone could provide a link if possible to INIS, the Statute book or any legal definition that could be referenced.
I have done a fair bit of searching and cannot find a definition in Ireland only the UK which im sure would be acceptable but would prefer an irish reference.

I'm not sure if there is a definition.

Not having criminal convictions, not being suspected of involvement in serious crime, not associating with criminals, not being involved in financial or social abuse would be important factors.
