We're travelling to Rome in February with 2 young children. We'll be in Rome for 48 hours and staying in the city centre- Navona. Any hints or tips for making the most of 48 hours would be great.

I've been to Rome twice - good luck finding anything in the city centre to engage the interest of young children. Frankly, they will be bored stiff with any of the regular tourist attractions. It's simply not a family destination.

The ice cream!! We went with our two when they were v small and they loved it. Just pottering around really. They liked the fountains, St Peter's and the park.
Did I mention the ice cream?😀
