Has anyone used one of these. Can it be used inline behind a normal baler with one tractor driving both?

Have you baled with an inline wrapper before?

They are a fair length of a machine, and the orbital seems considerably bigger than the HS2000 or similar

No I havnt. Had I fusion one time but never tried the other. Are they awkward? I have a mchale 660 belt baler and thought it might be a good job with the orbital

you don't see many belt balers in IReland!!

Well we have a HS 2000 behind a McHale 550, or should I say that we have the capability to have it behind the baler. Only got it hooked up last year. It's long, very long. and tricky to manouvere, particularly when you are reversing.

I have to say that we didn't master it and ended up running them separately. now the pressure was really on when we first tried it, which wasn't the way to start as you would need patience and time the first couple of days out, and these were in short supply as the weather had broken!!

I wasn't on the baler myself last year but i'll be on it this year so will give it a go again. I know a couple of people who are doing it so you do get used to it.

I am more inclined to put a remote control on the wrapper and wrap at the stack, but I will defo be giving it a go again behind the baler

Thanks for that info. Is the silage preservation ok wrapping at the stack?
The mchale belt baler is a serious yolk. It can get through some stuff and the bales are rock solid

how do the belts get on in Silage? I have always associated the belt balers with Straw and in UK/continent

What fears would you have on silage preservation by wrapping at the stack? don't want to make another mistake!

I know nothing about wrapping at the stack, that's why I was asking. Just wondering would the be any spoilage from contamination or being exposed to air load or unloading
