Hi all, I used to do some stick welding many moons ago and found Selectarc the best rods to use. I have an interest in doing some light jobs around the house again but have discovered Selectarc no longer exist:(
Any ideas on a good rod? I would be welding 2.5mm box/flat mild steel mainly. Perhaps all makes of rods are good now, but back in the day there was some awful rubbish.
    Happy New Year to everybody!

If you can get Oerlikon Citofix electrodes they wont let you down. Easy re-strike etc. If you want to go full on, the Fincord M are the premium Oerlikon rod. Citofix are fine.

Lots of makes out there but quality may not be what they once were due to outsourcing.
