    I can't remember if it was done before but I thought maybe a thread looking at tidbits of Irish or Irish related history, day by day, might be interesting.

    I'll start with the reason I thought of making this thread, January 3rd marks the end of the Siege of Kinsale in 1602. The Battle itself took place some days before on Christmas Eve (or also on the 3rd of January according to the Julian Calendar.. which confuses things a bit)
