    Hi all,
Was in 2 minds whether to ask this in the plumbing forum....Anyway...
I'm looking to know do gas networks have any hard spec on the height of the wall that your gas meter box should be connected to?

I currently have it attached to the house and am looking to move it outwards to install EWI.
But it cant stay in its current location as it's under a canopy and GNI no longer allow this.

Only other option is on a wall separating me from my neighbour but the GNI guy said we cant put it there as wall is too small - it would have to be built up. But height of the wall is higher than the top of the current meter where its connected to the house.
When i asked what height the wall has to be he said "about waist height" :)
He said the specs are "on the website", but...
I looked here (including attached docs) but nothing details the height of the wall.
    https://www.gasnetworks.ie/home/gas-meter/how-to-move-your-meter/

I finally rang GNI but the girl on the phone didn't know and just gave me the number of the fella who went out to survey it in the first place.

So at the moment it looks like its to the discretion of the guy who comes out... its funny though, cos a house 4 doors down has it right at the front of their garden not attached to anything!
