Car Audio interface+immobiliser upgrades and insurance

    Hi,

I am planning to play with my car by upgrading a car audio interface and installing an immobiliser with RFID key.

Do I need to tell my insurance company for these modifications before doing so ? I think my policy would be invalid if I don't tell them? And can I do it by myself or I need a qualified company/garage to do this modification by law?

    Thanks,
