myself and my partner are planning on building on land that he owns. there is already a house built on this site (his parents live in this), so we are unclear if we can build or not, do we need to get new site boundies done. there is plenty of land so that is not a problem. this is our first house building so id appreciate any advice.
    thanks

Assuming you get planning and meet the local needs bit if applicable
yes re marking out a new site and entrance or a shared entrance [which is rarely a good idea], then you need services: ESB/water/sewage/etc

Would be be able to get planning for sure. Is building 2 houses in one site allowed? How do you go about changing boundaries? We will have our own entrance. Planning on taking water from a well

Engage a local agent and explore the planning possibilities before you go marking site boundaries etc
