    'High shelf life??' I presume he means a week max? You'd have to roll it and cover it if not using the load within that time I'd imagine to avoid secondary fermentation.

    Savage feeding in it ,no issue storing it as long as clamped ,well rolled and sealed well ideally in long narrow pit

    Would it be good feeding for housed ewes??

    A sheep farmer in Mullingar used to get a delivery of maize silage of him once a week, I know he used it for years so it must've been successful. don't know anything about that stuff but you can have ewes too fat at lambing

    That dog rolling around in it in one of the pictures really boils my piss, a load of that with neospora infected dog crap would cause a abortion storm under the right conditions

    Prob less than a week if not repitted and is wonder how well you would be able to with straw in it
