Hi. Looking for a bit of advice. I'm thinking about making an arch to hang fern along for a wedding. I'm hoping it'll be pretty straight forward if I can get wire strong enough to be able to hold the weight. What's the strongest wire I can get and where would I get it. I'm in swords and know nothing about wire!

Most of those arches are made from tubular steel. Even if you used high tensile wire it'd be very hard to work with. Have you a pic of your idea?

Did you look into hiring one?

    1/4 inch rebar ??
Cheap as chips, easy to bend yet will hold a shape, paint easy.

It's a last minute request by the mother of the bride when she saw the church. Wedding is Friday!! It'll be at the entrance to the door of the church so can lean against the wall. I've had a look on done deal and adverts but most as €200+. Though I might make one for cheaper. I don't even need a fancy one, it's just to support the ferns.

That looks like a good option. Presume any builders yard would stock them?
