P21 Help

I've been working since April in Construction and need help submitting a P21.
My boss doesn't give payslips and I doubt i'll get a P60 but wish to submit a P21 (assuming he's paying tax).

I've been registered on revenue.ie since I began working there and when I go to submit the P21 it has the company name, the Employer's tax registration number but "Gross Income, Tax deducted, Income for USC, and USC Deducted" are all blank. I assume I have to enter it manually but I have no P60 or payslips to go off of.

If I submit it without filling in those blanks will they have that information on file in the tax office or will they just assume I paid no tax ?

You cannot submit a P21. You request it, and Revenue send it to you.

But you cannot get it before about mid February, when all your employers (are supposed to) have submitted their final details for the year.

It's worrying that your boss doesn't give payslips - usually a sign they're dodging tax or underpaying.

But if your employment is shown on the Revenue site, that's a good sign (unless it was you that entered it there?).

Thanks for your help. He entered my employment on revenue and all my tax credits but there's definitely something dodgy going on with the payslips.

Payslips aren't a revenue issue. However your employer must issue them to you.
