With the recent approval by An Bord Pleanala of the redevelopment of the Stillorgan Reservoir by Irish Water, it seems overdue to have a discussion on this..

Entrance to the site will be from St. Raphaela's road (west side)

Locals very concerned about smells, rodents, hours of working and potential damage to property due to extensive use of jackhammers (no blasting thank God!)

Little point discussing it here, omelettes and eggs, its gonna happen. Local residents need to pool together and get a liaison going with the contractor through Irish Water.

Agreed. The residents of Sandymount/Ringsend got a significant community fund from the Aviva and Incinerator developments. This will be way less significant with little long term impact and mainly long term gain. I would imagine the remedy for potential damage from vibrations will be to wait to see if it happens and compensate at that point.
