Whats the difference between Highline and Lounge Models?

I see some cars advertised on car selling sites as Lounge model. When I look at VW site, there's no such thing.

I can see Lounge ones have sunroof and seat design looks different.

Asking price is lower on Lounge models than Highline even though they have sunroof. SatNav, Reverse camera etc seems to be there as well.

So what else is different? Anyone?

The Highline is higher spec. The Lounge was a special edition based on the mid Comfortline spec. Highline has nicer seats, climate control and some other bits I cannot think of. Sat Nav, reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, etc were part of a Tech Pack which most Golfs came with back in 2016.

If you can stretch to a 2017 Highline you will also get leather heated seats, larger alloy wheels and rear LED tail lights:

The difference between the two linked is the 17's on the highline, that particular one will have keyless entry, dual zone climate, auto wipers, front and rear parking sensors and ambient interior lighting over the Lounge.

The interior of the highline feels an awful lot nicer, those seats in the Lounge are a bit hard and a cheap feeling material, and the brushed aluminium inserts are a bit cheap looking. Sounds fickle and it is, but the piano black inserts and alcantara in the highline really change the interior.

As Bazz says though, you are getting close to the change of model and if you can get a 162 onwards highline you will get 18's, rear LED's, Android auto, and leather/ pan roof as standard highline spec in addition to the above.

So the Lounge was basically comfortline with few bits added. I will skip that.

Thanks for pointing out the differences. I will have a look at the newer models.
