    Hi

I have a very low... extremely low budget.
    Looking for projector for bedroom.
Was looking at Byintek Android BT-140 that some guys are importing / selling for €160–165

I can sort out a screen in some format, whether its home made or a blackout blind until I can afford a proper screen as would like something motorised long term if it appeals to us.

All the reported tech specs are below and if to be believed, may be reasonable entry level projector. What I want is in the evening to be able to close the curtains, fairly dark room and watch a movie or sports connecting my sky box or watching on Netflix etc.

    I’d appreciate your opinions...
Bare in mind I only have total budget of 250 (before you say.. i know) — but don’t want to spend if I wont even get something basic, not looking for cinema 3D banging sound experience, maybe in the future if the money is there and we like the experience in general of having it available in bedroom.

    THanks

I went ahead and got this as didnt have any replies good or bad so took a gamble, as well i purchased as a roll down blackout blind as a cheaper option for a projector screen. Initially things have gone well to date, projector comes with a 6 month warranty also.

Just in case anyone is thinking about this type of projector in future, i will post a reply next week with how things have gone, good and bad aspects, right now i’m having fun setting things up, location for projector, wiring and so on.

I’d hope we’ll get some time out of it and if we like how it works, save up to a higher spec / brand projector in the future at some point.

I got a Optoma UHD60 4k projector with the size of 13*19.6*6 inches, giving the contrast radio of 1000000:1 and the brightness of 64. If you want to set up in your room I think this one is also suitable enough for you. Alternatively you can take a refer to the 4k projectors buying guide such as the one I took: 5 comparison of 4k projector->>

Thanks, however I think that 4K projector is slightly out of my budget :)

Maybe sometime in the future with some saving up. Looks like a decent projector though - hope you have fun with it.

Just a quick update on how its gone so far, if anyone ever needs detail, please reply and I'll be happy to share experience.

I've had the BT140 projector for nearly 2 months now.
I have it set up in bedroom, approx 8 feet from screen with a shelf I made on the wall and
The screen is just a pull down white blackout blind that I picked up for about €15
It projects roughly 90 inches from that distance and the picture quality is pretty decent.
Subtitles or words on menu's are a little blurry so if clear picture required for that, probably suits better a foot closer to screen and sacrifice some inches of the screen size.

I had a soundbar already so I just plugged that in with 3.5mm jack to the projector.

Its great for watching pretty much anything, mainly use it for movies but any programs on TV, havent watch much sport on it yet.

I watch Sky on it, no problem.
It can play netflix / youtube but i'm a bit far away from wifi box so I dont use that much as signal not great.
Has USB port and can happily play all formats of video files that I've downloaded so far and plays really well.

I'm really happy so far with performance of projector and for the price its all ready returned its value.

Sometime in the future I would like to upgrade to something with higher contrast / quality of picture.
For a starter projector and seeing if we like this long term, this couldnt have been better and has been a lot of fun getting it set up, hiding cables as best I can.
Has given me idea's of where I'd like to set things up long term, other pieces I'd like to do, screen location, sound, where to put cables etc.

I do find I have a lot of remotes now :-)
    Projector, sound bar, sky remote
