Small Extension Planning

    Hello,

I am renovating an old bungalow. My plan was to add a small extension also, just by adding a second wall a few metres behind the house all along the full length. Less than 40m2 final extra size. However, roof timbers are so rotten that these will now be replaced too. So if I just re-roof but using extension wall as house back wall, I will end up with a wider house and a neat A roof but at a lower pitch than before. Would I still need planning for this.

    Many Thanks

IMO yes. But Do a sketch and send it to the local planner.

    Thanks Bryan,

Are you saying a simple sketch may do initially to see what they say or will I have to employ an engineer or architect to do a full planning application?

    Cheers
