    hello Folks,

hope to put a corrugated roof on a traditional cottage. All timberwork will be replaced too. What might the possible set up be? Galvanize on laths, felt between laths and rafters, and can I spray breathable foam underneath directly onto felt?

    All ideas and advice welcome,

    Thank you.

You can buy galvanised panels with foam already on them.

    thanks lister,

I have not seen the old type corrugated with foam panels. However, even if this is so, is it wise to simply place these on the roof lath? Overlapping may be 1 issue among others. The internal issues of felt and between rafter insulation still need to be addressed.

Would the rigid foam Batts with the silver foil type backing be any good. Wedged or fixed in-between the rafters?

    Thanks lala,

I'm sure rigid insulation between rafters would work fine. However I am interested about possible air gaps, felt and possible condensation, etc. If anyone has done similar or has any advice would be appreciated.
