Chuck Pagano should have gone last year. 3 years without a winning record. He's not the only issue there, but he's been a big problem, and he knows he's gone.

Rumours that they are considering replacing him with Tom Cable :mad:

Rappoport reporting that the Raiders are going after Jon Gruden, offering him $10m per year and an stake of ownership in the team.

They only signed Del Rio to a 5 year deal ten months ago!

Welcome back to Baltimore as DC. He held that role in 2011 before he went to Indy

I've love to see it happen :)

Adam Schefter reporting that Packers DC Dom Capers will not be back in 2018

John Fox'll be fired in the morning. Ryan Pace has a press conference scheduled for the afternoon so it will be done before then.

Pace is rumoured to be getting a new deal to match up with the new HC's contract.

Dave Toub is the favoured name at Halas Hall ahead of interviews according to Benjamin Allbright.

Heard a while back that Houston have already decided to move on from Bill O' Brien, haven't heard much about it recently so dunno if it's still in the works, think it's crazy if true.

Surely either Josh McDaniels or Matt Patricia will be a head coach next year, or even both.

Interesting to read last years thread and the thoughts then about which were the best and worst jobs available.

Chuck Pagano is fired as HC of the Colts. To nobody's surprise.

Think I seen Jim Caldwell expected to be fired flashing by on Redzone

Bit shocked at Del Rio firing, down season but he had them playing the right way for the most part

There is no way the raiders would make that move unless Gruden was locked up. Gruden would be stupid to give up his MNF gig unless he had fulll control.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,434 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Never thought Gruden would return tbh, but he certainly held out for a sweet offer. Equity in a franchise for a head coach is unreal.

    NFL Network reporting same.

Now that there is a vacancy in Indianapolis, how less attractive is it without Andrew luck who no one seems to know what his timeline is to return ?

Also five coaches gone including McAdoo is New York and we still have Marvin Lewis and Bruce Arians to hear what's happening with them.

Bruce Arians will retire from coaching so the Cardinals will be looking for a new head coach.

Hard to think of the Colts franchise as anything special anymore when you listen to Irsay speak. Sad because there was a stretch during the Manning era when he was a solid owner.

I think its obvious between the Broncos and Colts currently Manning made a lot of things look better than they actually were.

As much as I dislike the man Bill Polian was great there too. He is as big of a loss and maybe bigger than Peyton Manning.

Marvin Lewis signed a two year deal so will be head coach until end of 2019

I did not see this coming! Thought he was moving upstairs to the front office

Josh McDaniels is to have an interview with the Colts on Thursday.

All I've heard, is that the Patriots were going to hire from within the organisation and promote Flores to the DC position.

    College Arizona, not NFL Arizona.

Ah feck. I though it was a strange hire alright.

Yeah seems his presser yesterday where he said he didn't anticipate changing his staff meant a big u turn. Titans owner just said they couldn't find common ground and that's why they made the decision.

He brought huge stability to the Titans and 2 winning seasons with playoffs.
But this year the offense was pure awful. Seems his personal relationship with our OC meant he wouldn't fire him.

Same situation as Mike munchak a few years back.

Mike Vrabel is getting an interview

That’s some impressive loyalty from Mullarky

Many a time a head coach sacked an assistant which deserved or not it seemed to be a sacrifice

Denver sacked six assistant coaches this month

    McDaniels to Colts (confirmed)
Patricia to Lions (other candidates notified it was off the table now)
Shumur to Giants (can't be confirmed until after Vikes finish?)

Can't confirm that first two for the same reason as #3

They have been prepping Flores to fill the role all season long. Couple of games and practices he was acting as the DC and calling plays. It all depends on the Cardinals though. It does seem like Bill has a lot of time for Flores and likes him a lot.

    5 year deal for him.

This year the Titans are still paying Whisenhunt and Mularkey.

Wonder who his coordinators are going to be
