It's from one of the SEC sample biology papers

    The questions are:
State two responses that result when body temperature begins to drop

Explain briefly how swearing assists in the shedding of excess heat?

I can't find the marking scheme anywhere.

    Two responses would be:
    - erector muscled contract (forming goose bumps) this causes the hairs to stand up and traps a layer of warm air close to the skin

    - vasoconstriction (blood vessels contract) meaning less heat is lost to the outside

Sweat reduces excess heat because when sweat evaporated from the skin it takes heat away from the body.
