Attic Insulation, Rockwell still top pick ?

    Hi guys,

Just planning overhauling the insulation in my attic. The house was built in 2005, so it has the usual pretty crappy yellow fibreglass rolls in there, that is now well and truly compressed, probably down to 100mm.

We also hope some time in the next couple of years to utilise the attic for additional work/living space, so putting 300mm down is not an option due to decreased height ( builders did originally put in the ceiling joists in the attic and some door frames and some stud walls ).

So is there anything in the meantime, that would give a big improvement in between the existing 210mm joists ? And is blown insulation preferable to rolls ? Or am I better off to insulate between the rafters and have the whole interior space covered insulation-wise ?

    Cheers,

    Murphy
