New (to me) car so decided I should maybe try not to treat it as badly as my geriatric Focus was - 2 car washes a year!!

Car is a pale blue (Iceberg White?) Renault, paintwork appears in good condition.

    So...
2 bucket wash with Iron X Snow Soap
    Rinse
    TarX
    Rinse
    IronX
    Rinse
    Clay
    2 bucket wash with Reset
Polish - this will be by hand, I ordered CarPro Fixer and a Hexlogic hand pad but realise now I should probably have gone for Reflect instead?? Will Fixer be too harsh?
After this I'm a bit lost, I have Reload and HydrO2. Should I use one of these? Or Wax?

I've also got CarPro Perl, Eraser, Fog Fight, Spotless, HydrO2 Lite and SO2 Pure plus maybe ten micro fibre cloths, 2 microfibre drying towels, many sheepskin mitts, a microfibre mitts for the tyres, foam wax/sealant applicators, lint free applicators.....got a lot of things as a gift when I bought the car just before Christmas and then ordered some bits from the Detailing Shed.

    Suggestions/pointers welcome.

With Fixer you wont do any damage by hand, you'll be fine, and to be honest by hand Reflect wouldnt have any real impact either.

CarPro Reload is a spritz on, buff off until clear, product - gives a nice boost to shine and is fairly durable.
CarPro HydrO2 is a concentrate (assuming its not HydrO2Lite) and is sprayed on, power washed off, job done (other than drying the car) - on first application you dilute 1 part product to 3 parts water, and for maintenance top ups there after, up to 1:15, so a little goes a long way.

My approach would be to use the Fixer and Hex Logic pad and polish the paintwork - then use Eraser to remove the polish as it doesnt have fillers so any polish on the car will hinder the performance of anything applied on top. Then I'd apply Reload (again a little goes a long way, so dont be tempted to lash it on, or you'll soak the microfiber you are buffing with and it will become streaky, worse issue on darker colours). Then you could use HydrO2 on top, or at 1:15 after each wash there after.

CarPro PERL is very verstaile and can be diluted to suit needs; neat on tyres, 1:1 on exterior plastics and trim, 1:3 on engine bays, up to 1:10 on interiors.

CarPro FogFight is a good performer; ideally apply when temps are a little warmer, or you can heat the windscreen first using your heater

CarPro Spotless if for those mineral deposits that dont shift - like water spots but could be lime or whatever. Sometimes you'd see ghosting on windscreens and can help remove this. Great on getting chrome or shiny surfaces spotless (surprisingly :P)

CarPro SO2Pure is an odour neutraliser, so if the car has any funky smells from previous owners, this will negate that!

Hope this helps and any questions, fire ahead!

Wonderful thanks. There seems to be suggestions for both Reload followed by HydrO2 and vice versa. Is there any particular benefit to putting on one before the other??
