    you can get them on ebay or the guy in friary st in kilkenny should have them

    Do not use the oven with the seal in that condition, I would also opt for an original zanussi replacement as the seal on a gas oven is vital to safe and correct operation.

    Original zanussi replacement seal is fitted now. €28 for a new one, seems pretty expensive for a piece of rubber.

    Just as a matter of interest, why would this seal be critical for the safe and correct operation of the top oven, considering the top oven is also a grill and when the grill is being used the door is to be left open.

    It's to do with how the gas flame is aerated, over or under aired can result in excessive carbon monoxide production.
    When using the grill, the grill burner is designed to operate with the door open, the oven burner is not.

    €28 is a reasonable price IMHO
