Posted here recently in regard to my brother, he is 36 years old, wants to set up as sole trader and register with revenue, never has been registered before due to working away and been on SW, if he registers as sole trader with revenue, will they wonder why he's not been registered before and ask questions OR will they not care its more money for state

    Thanks

It may raise a query or may not. Being on welfare isn't an issue. Nor is working outside the state so long as the taxation measures of the country he was working in were followed.
