France In May With 16 Month Old - Where?

    Hi.
Looking to go away for 7-10 days in May with 16 month old daughter.
Any recommendations on where in France would be a good place to chill out for a week?
We would need a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area - standard hotel room or studio wouldn’t be suitable for us with the little one.
We have been looking at Majorca and it looks like a runner but trying to see if anywhere in France fits the bill also as the flights are a little shorter.
We were in ile de Re this year for a week which was nice.
We would ideally like to be within walking distance of a choice of restaurants - this was the one thing our accommodation on ile de Re lacked.
Also - a town that may have bistros that open outside of core hours would be good (on ile de Re there was pretty much nothing open between 2:30 and 7:30pm).
Thanks very much for any recommendations.

Sables D’Olonne might fit the bill.

We stayed near a number of times and found it a really nice place with a super relaxed feeling in the evenings and a nice choice of restaurants cafes etc.
