    Hi

80% health, should give more than 2 hours unless you’re doing something very intensive, what’s the Mac listing as high energy using apps? Any chance something (like flash in a browser window?) isn’t causing the Mac to be very busy, but doing very little?

Otherwise, I’d suggest th e following, in order:

There’s a guide from apple here, on making sure you haven’t got some setup/software issue https://www.apple.com/ie/batteries/maximizing-performance/

If that does help, I’d suggest doing an SMC & PRAM reset - https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/reset-macs-smc-pram/

If that doesn’t help, then I’d suggest bring it to compuB and get them to take a look, an estimate the cost - they’re an official apple repair agent, and may also be able offer access to a cheap/free repair if there’s a known issue. https://www.compub.com/dublin

    Paddy

Click on the battery icon in the menubar and see if there's any apps using significant energy. If you click on the app, it will take you to Activity Monitor and list all the apps in order of current energy use.
