    People move on to Third Level if they get the required number of Distinctions. I doubt there is a teacher in the country has not had at least one student get a distinction. It's really up to the student.

    Be aware for nursing, even getting the full amount of Distinctions may not get you in through the QQI route. Perhaps, as a back up, you should investigate English colleges that allow Irish QQI entrants.
