I'd imagine it's probably not advisable but I'll ask just in case...

I'm having to react to a situation meaning that I'll need to immigrate in a matter of weeks (and therefore get the house on the rental market asap). Is it possible to get a painter to paint the exterior of my house in this current weather?

There is also a need to get someone to close a couple of wall openings made in the exterior wall a while back to investigate a few issues. They're small openings but I need to have a blocklayer close them up and plaster them.

Again, is it out of the question to do that sort of work at this time of year?

Nighttime temps below freezing. I definitely wouldn't paint an exterior. Don't they advise not painting in temperatures below 10c

Yup...I guess that was going to be the answer. It's just that I'm in a bind....may not be around in a couple of weeks...will be the other side of the World....otherwise I wouldnt consider getting it sorted now.

Same with getting the few blocks put back in and plastered I guess?

not recommended but we did do it once for a contractor who was needing a job finished. It wasnt below freezing but was hovering just around 1-5 degrees. He hired out some blow heaters and had them blowing on us all day. It did the job and was dry in no time with the heat blowing on them and there was never no problems after. I wouldnt do it for a paying customer or on my own house, but it was done successfully before.

3 or 4 degrees for blocklaying depending on if temp is rising or stable and 5 for plastering as far as I'm aware. I'd say you should get some weather like that to fill the holes without much issue.
