Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley) plays Miriam, an experienced social worker who is caught up in a police investigation when a young girl named Kiri goes missing on a supervised visit.

Kiri will also star Luther’s Lucian Msamati as Kiri’s grandfather, who will find his race and dysfunctional family relationships put under the microscope during the show. Lia Williams (The Crown) plays Kiri’s foster mum.

Starts the 10th of January at 9pm on Channel 4.

    Kiri began tonight, decent start.

Heavy going but it will be interesting to see how the blame falls as the details emerge.

Sarah Lancashire was very good as always.

Not quite as dark as it appeared in promos..

.. enjoyable, and Sarah Lancashire as per usual is fantastic!

Good 2nd episode - the son off foster parents is abit too obvious?

The ending wasn't exactly satisfactory. There's talk of a second series already. It was good but I thought it could've been better on the whole.

After reading a few days ago that Kiri is the most watched Channel 4 drama of all time, I watched the whole series this weekend (the best way to watch it!).

It was terrific overall, but the ending was totally anti-climactic. I think they ran out of road and it needed a 5th episode to tie everything up.

Not sure how they can do a second series (unless it's called something else!) :)

Yep, enjoyed it but the finale did let it down a little. Can't imagine another series tbh!
