    Hi,

Does anyone know of any insurance company that will ensure a watch. I shopped around when I bought my first watch, but couldn't find a 'watch insurance specialist'.

I have my watch insured as part of my house contents, but I would like insurance for all risk types:

    - loss
    - stolen
    - damage

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

All that should be covered by your home insurance, but if it is a valuable watch, you need to have it named specifically on the policy (with a value)

Wife lost the diamond out of her engagement ring and it was paid up to its specified value (minus the policy excess). Watch is the same thing.

Mine is on my house policy, make, model, year and value is what is required. Didn't need a receipt just aked if I could prove it's purchase if needed.

Aye. We didn't even have to prove the value with a receipt or anything like that. The only issue was that we left the value on the policy the same over many years, meaning that the actual value of the diamond was higher than what the ring including the diamond was insured for.

Would this be worth doing if I have several watches? It's probably not worth it as none are worth any substantial value, it's about €1,000 for the 4 I have so nothing noteworthy but this will grow over the years. Would it be possible, or even worth adding the lot of them on?

If I lost one or was robbed while out it would suck but no major loss but I figure if someone broke in they could take the whole lot easily?

    Thanks for your help all.

I thought a typical house policy would only cover if it was stolen from you, and not lost outside of your house?
