Bosch SMV50C00GB stops mid cycle

Hi guys, I have a Bosch dishwasher smv50c00gb, it's stopping mid cycle. The tablet is out of the compartment and water is in the bottom.

The troubleshooting I've done so far, I've cleaned out the bottom drain and filter, it wasn't very dirty though.
Powered it off and powered it back up again afterwards but same problem.
The cleaning display light blinks when you power it on first.

The reset function works, it drains the water out so the pump seems to be working fine, I'm guessing the pipe isn't blocked either since it's draining!

    I'm stumped!

    OK, new problem description.

When I power it on, the cleaning light blinks and the control panel is non responsive.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Google “Bosch SMV50C00GB Fault codes”. This will give you the Fault description of what the blinking cleaning light means. Usually you count the number of blinks and it corresponds to a Fault code

as your d/w is integrated it will have to be released from your kitchen units to do any check. if the waste pipe is plumbed into a spigot of the sink undo it and check for any blockage there. when it is out on the floor with all delph removed tilt the machine forward as much as you can and see if water comes out from underneath, if so stand it upright again and run the machine while still out for a test run and see if it ok again

Nothing for it I'm afraid. In fact I think the cleaning display light blinking means it's mid cycle. So it looks like the cycle isn't finishing. Does that make sense?

Nothing blocking the pipe unfortunately. Took it out, leaned it forward and nothing came out. Going to run it on a half load now and see what happens. Maybe one of the pipes was clogged. However it does a rinse cycle without issue. So I don't think there's anything wrong with the drainage or drain pump.

I'll keep you posted on how it runs now.

if you have access to a meter check the heating element, it is located within the wash pump, its the terminal with the two heavy leads and earth slightly off set. if there is no continuity between L and N terminals the heater is faulty although with most of these d/w I find leak detection is their biggest issue but they have a certain amount of heater failure

OK, pulled it out, checked all pipes and ran it. It started fine and made noise, then It went very quiet after about half an hour.

I left it for another half an hour and then opened the door. It was warm inside and there was water in the bottom. The control panel didn't light up. I pressed the power button and nothing happened. So control panel is dead.

I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Opened the door and the clean display light was blinking (this light indicates a wash is in progress)

I closed the door and the cycle started again!
    That cycle finished.

I ran it again but when it stopped there was water in the bottom and the control panel was completely dead.

Any ideas on what would cause the cycle to stop and kill the control panel? But then unplugging it would allow it to restart?

This dishwasher uses a heat pump I think. So I'll need to take that out and test. I'll get a photo up, I'm not sure what to test on it. Cheers.
