DeGiro looking for passport number?

    Got an email during the week from DeGiro looking for my passport number to use as part of some new EU legislation so I could be uniquely identified, anyone else get this? I recall already shortly after creating the account submitting my PPS number, surely this should be more than enough?

    Yes I received a similar email. It relates to the new MiFID II legislation coming into effect on Jan 3rd 2018. There's plenty of information available online regarding the new directive.

    Cheers, went online today to complete it and it only asked me to confirm if I had dual EU citizenship or not, no need for passport number.
