Hi could you please explain the charges involved in receiving a transfer from America to my business account here in Ireland and a break down of what these charges are and who receives the money from these charges. Thanks

    Hi Stephenlavery1,

Thanks for your post and welcome to Boards.ie.

The charges to receive an incoming payment from America will depend on what currency the transfer is sent in and the amount. If you go to our Schedule of International Transaction Charges brochure on the link below and scroll to page 6 the charges are listed under Inward Cross Border Payments section. Payments from America will come under All Other Payments in section (a) for Euro transfers and if it’s sent in US Dollars, the charges are in section (b).

International transfers can incur intermediary bank charges and we’re unable to advise here what they would be. If a transfer is received into your account that has had intermediary bank charges deducted from the amount sent, you will be issued a Swift Advice of Payment in the post. The payment advice will show a breakdown of any charges that have been deducted and by which bank.

Hope this helps but if you do have any further questions, please let us know.

    Thanks
    Tara
