Food for a sensitive dog

We had a bad tummy bug hit the dogs this week with Lucy and Nala getting it worst.
Lucy has always had a sensitive stomach and while Harrington's settled it somewhat, the smell from her could be horrific at times. Nala was put on a chicken and rice diet but Lucy was out on Royal Canin gastrointestinal (vet supply)
Can she stay on this long term as it has really settled her and is there a retail version of this.

Well you can buy RC Gastro online but you can also try Eukanuba Daily Care Sensitive Digestion or you can go for an additive like Luposan Moor Liquid. You may also want to try food without Chicken, Beef and Maize (look for potato as base instead) as those are three common components to cause issues as allergens such as Purizon Adult Black Angus & Turkey – Grain-Free, Simpsons Premium, Orijen, Acana and several other similar high quality kibble options.

Burns sensitive pork and potato is very good for tummies. My dog started on it after he had parvo and I eventually put them all on it as they got older. It's not cheap but there's been no tummy problems with any of them since and they are lovely and healthy.

Also with burns in most shops when you buy 8 you get one free - I donate my free bag to the local dog rescue centre if any else feels like doing that btw - but it's a good loyalty scheme from them.

We have a sensitive Old English Sheepdog, skin and tummy issues. Most of the premium brands like rijen work well, although are pretty pricey.

We are currently using Arden Grange which is excellent food at a lower price point.

I buy at least 2x12KG at a time as delivery is £10. They only ship Arden Grange from the UK zooplus too. Less than €50 a bag with delivery/exchange costs and a happy dog is great in my opinion!
