Water and ESB application made 12 Oct, no quote from Irish Water

    Both applications for water and electricity supply were made on the 12 of October, the ESB have quoted, have been paid, have been to site twice and have begun the installation.

    Irish Water on the other hand have not even provided a quote for the work yet, I'm very worried as the house build will be finished shortly and we won't be able to move into it.

    The response from Irish Water is that "its with the field engineer".

    Is this standard practice from Irish Water? If so its absolutely outrageous.
    Any feedback will be greatly welcomed.

    I'm very sorry to read this. Would you mind sending us a PM with the following details and we will certainly follow up on this for you?

    - Your full name;
    - Contact number;
    - The name on the application;
    - The Local Authority you applied through;
    - Connection address; &
    - Any further details such as a reference number

    Once these details are received through PM, we will certainly look into this further for you.

    Kind regards,
    Louise

    Thanks for the response,
    I received an email on the 28th stating yet again that it was with the field engineer.

    It's now 12 weeks since the application was made and still no quote forthcoming.

    Can you provide a date that I could expect this quote, the house will be finished soon and quite frankly having to wait 12 weeks for a quote is totally unacceptable.
