    Hi,
I'm going to buy a TV in the next few days(before Xmas) and I'm looking for a recommendation. Price should not exceed 599Euro.

    I was looking at http://www.pcworld.ie/Product/lg-49uj634v-49-smart-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-led-tv/337275/404.0.3

W hat do you think should I go for it? Any better deals up to this price?
Have a look at Argos similar spec TVs in the 49" range much cheaper than pc world

Argos have cheaper ones, but unknown brands. I'm looking to buy a known brand LG, Samsung, Sony.
Power city have same TV for 50Euro less.

    But this model looks interesting:

P.S. I'm looking to use a One4all gift card to finance part of the purchase.

I just bought very similar tv from richer sounds - 49uj630v- think main difference is the stand - £429 came in at under €500.

That TV you link was €529 during black friday so will no doubt will be down again on st stephens day.

Argos have this 49" UHD 4K LG one for €469

I see the Samsung has 3xHDMI functions & no Saorview compared to LG's 4xHDMI+Saorview.

But that Samsung is the price i paid many moons ago in Argos for Samsung 46" 1/2 price, it was a BA Bargain of the year, afaik.

I actually came across a 55" 4k in Aldi's today for about €500, don't know about how many HDMI sockets there are, it's got Saorview & 3yr warranty!

If it's UK stock Samsung w/Freeview for sale in a retailer in ROI, it'll deliver Saorview without issue.

I haven't noticed if there were any with the Freeview sticker, would it happen often?
I'd heard on a thread once, that after a certain date that all Irish tellies by law it would have Saorview on them!

Btw are all HDMI sockets compatible, like the one's at the back & side facing?
Apologies for hijacking the thread :)

The reason i ask is that i tried out a firestick on the side & i thought it was the batteries at first that wouldn't recognise & even after changing them, still wouldn't work until i put in the back used by the bluray & it seemed to work there, (although after a tight fit, been there for a while)

That's what i initially thought when you see the slots are identified as on mine as 1 DVI, HDMI IN 2 or HDMI IN 3
