Recording off sky

I have recorded games on sky and have transferred them to DVD. I don't find the quality great. Is there an alternative to transfer to computer? I like to edit games.

IIRC you can only export from SKY via SCART, and only because they can't block it, so quality will be limited.

If you have an old Freesat box or Linux box then you can export HD recordings easily.
