    Hi

I am looking for a 43" TV with the highest quality picture and Smart features with a budget restriction of €1000.
Preference would probably be Samsung as have had one for 7 years now with no issues.
    What would your recommendation be?
If the 49" gave a performance upgrade, then please also suggest this.

    Hi Boccy,

now that's actually one of the most interesting queries I've had for some time as it's really made me think!

€1000 just a couple of years ago was a super budget for a top-end 40/42/43" TV - but now its actually too much!!

This is due to a combination of price erosion and the move towards larger screen TV's - at the moment probably the best 43" we would have is the Sony KD43XE8004 which is a super TV including 4K Ultra HD and Android OS - and its just £589 / €689 (Small Boardie deal ;) ):

However if as you suggest you move up to 49/ 50" then all the manufacturers step up their quality offerings and you have a world of choice - I would look at the LG 49SJ800 which is a super TV at just £649 / €769:

If you step into Sammy's then we have a choice of 2 - one within budget and a stunning budget buster :):

    Samsung UE49MU7000 - £749 / €899 ( another Boardie deal there ;) ):

    Budget Buster:

    Samsung QE49Q7F - Stunning QLED TV £1249 / €1469:

If you wanted to max the budget the you could also look at the Panasonic TX50EX750 which is a really super TV with really natural flowing picture quality and great motion handling at £849 / €989:

Thanks again and don't hesitate to drop me a line if any of the above grab your fancy :)

John, I'd be interested in your above recommendation. See link below.

Is €699 your best price and if I ordered it on the 26 Dec 17 do you think it could be delivered before the New Year.

    Regards.

    Dave.

    Hi Dave.

The £589 or 699 Euro would be our current best pricing on the 43XE8004.

Delivery would not take place until after the first week of the new year at the point unfortunately.

    Hi John,

Any interest in doing a deal for LG 43UJ651V and a condenser dry? And maybe a dyson v8 depending on how we’re getting on! Delivered to Balbriggan, north Dublin.

    Cheers

    Hi Danstarter.

Unfortunately we do not stock white goods like Condensers etc.

We are a TV, A/V and Hi Fi specialist.

The 43UJ651 is also not a model that we stock. I think this is a Currys/ PC world exclusive.

We do stock the 43UJ670 which is priced at £399.00

Includes our 6 year guarantee free of charge.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Kenny,
    What's the difference between a LG 43UJ670 and a 43UJ630 ?
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi Paul.

The 670 is 100Hz to the 50Hz of the 630. The faster the refresh rate the better the screen will handle fast moving image.

The legs on the 630 are placed at either end of the screen, whereas the 670 has the more traditional stand in the middle.

Both have been very popular televisions.
