Hey guys, I've quick question regarding tyre sizes.
On the car now I've got size 235/45/18 and I need to put winter tyres on but the tyres I've got in the garage are 205/55/17.
Would they fit or are the parameters too far out for safe fitting?

Just to add, the 235 alloys would also be removed and the 205 steelies put on instead.

If you fitted them to 17" wheels then they would be perfectly fine on your car, they'll be marginally smaller in diameter (about 10mm) and so wont have any dramatic effect on handling or speed etc etc

Will the 16" fit over the brake calipers? on the Accord the 16" is a very tight fit on the front.

They are 17s, hasn't thought of the brake calipers.
No way of knowing till the wheels come off.

The 17s are attached 17 wheels so it would basically be a straight swap.
18s including alloys would come off and 17s with steelies would go on.

Comes back with a difference of 1.7%.
Further checks suggest that there shouldn't be issue so I'll swap them out.
    Saves me a pretty penny
