So I waited in all day to sign for a parcel. The tracking said the courier had it since 10 am and it would be delivered today. I rang them and they confirmed it would. They said it might be a bit late.

Rang them again in the afternoon. They said yes it should be delivered today. So anyway no sign of it. Then I check the tracking again and it is now updated to 'delivery attempted - recipient not home'

I am raging. After waiting at home all day because I have to sign for it, ringing them confirming they have my number if they need directions, the fu@#er just plain lies about it and doesn't even bother.

What can I do now? Will he deliver it tomorrow? If I get onto the company who sent it would it help. Obviously there is no one answering the phone now but I'll be straight on to them in the morning. I only hope it hasn't gone back cos of some lazy bastards actions.

They'll put it back on the van tomorrow. If you ring the number tomorrow morning and tell them you're not happy and tell them that they need to speak to the driver and say "don't be trying that sh*t with you today"

Tell them there's no card left so he didn't attempt a delivery, just plain couldn't be bothered.

Thanks for reminding me about the card. No there is none obviously. I don't want to cross the driver til I have the parcel though.

Its the time of year, too many pkgs, not enough time, carriers dont invest properly for their peak season, same every year

Ring the carrier, complain no attempt was made, no card left, and you want a timeframe window to expect delivery

I spotted 2 DHL drivers today(in private cars) making deliveries so things must be quite bad right now so all hands on deck. This was County Clare about 15 minutes from the depot in Shannon.

Well yeah I felt bad after that. We all get caught up in the Christmas rush I suppose. I had to meet him on my way to work at half 7 tonight to get the package. It was a present worth over a grand so I had to get it. He was well flustered though and I felt a bit bad for him. Your wan in the office gave me his number though we sorted it out ourselves.
