Just been caught out twice with this

2 items supposed to be located in the UK .

I paid a premium for the faster delivery and find out they've been shipped from China.

    Sellers have good feedback too

Been there twice recently. Straight to PayPal for me and escalated it to a claim. Breach of terms and PayPal is an eBay company.

Regardless of if you receive the item, I claimed that they failed to provide me with notice that I'm importing from outside the EU and no information regarding customs duties.

One case, seller refunded without challenge, the other I waited 14 days and PayPal went in my favour as seller couldn't provide tracking.

Both phone covers based in UK. I don't take **** from sellers.

I'm in the same situation still waiting on the item 20days. Thought it was coming from UK 2 fake tracking numbers 2nd tracking number pushed the date of delivery. Have to wait now till 27th Dec for refund for resolution to deal with a refund.

Small money so I've dealt with the sellers directly

I'd prefer hold off on dispute via PayPal for something bigger

I always click into the seller's profile, it usually states the country as China (or wherever) even if the item listing says somewhere in the UK.

Proper UK sellers will often have their UK VAT address on the listing too.

Well my item is over 100euro and no joy from the seller as he copy and paste same message daily that it was the DHL's fault and the messed it up but has been sent and I'll receive it in time for Christmas.

This is happening me now with a €3 phone cover! Only bought it the other day, location says UK, but checked tracking number just there and yep, China. I wanted it before Christmas, no chance of that now! What to do? Paypal dispute for breach of terms? I couldn't care less about €3, but the principal of it bothers the hell outta me

Wait till it ships then claim a refund through PayPal.

If they're gonna mislead you the least you can do is make them pay for it.

And don't forget to leave SHIPS FROM CHINA as part of your feedback.

Aren't PayPal and EBay two separate companies now?

I just ordered a screen protector that, according to ebay, is in Manchester. I got a message to say that the item was dispatched.

Then, next day, I get a message asking for me to give my correct address as the one on file is incorrect - it's been fine for every other delivery.

The message began "Hello Dear" ðŸ˜

Waiting on resolution from PayPal opened yesterday. Today got message from seller with third Tracking no. This one works and says parcel dispatched 12th Dec from LeHarve France .. no more info doesn't tell me true delivery except the country it's heading for.

Think I'm after getting done too. Location says Canvan, Ireland. Delivery estimate is 3-4 weeks away. Only ordered it from this guy because I need it for the weekend. Is it worth getting onto PayPal for a dispute? Really annoyed about this.

If you've been mislead, then yes.

    Also a victim of this.

Ordered Nerf bullets for my kids guns I bought them for Xmas. There was no indication on the advert these would be coming from China. UK tracking number given and was told they would be with me on 18th December.

Still not here, fake tracking number so the other day I emailed the seller and demanded a refund. They sent it within the hour.

EBay is a joke now. When I first starting using it many years back, it was a great site. Most items were actual auctions and you could pick up loads of bargains. Now it's just a shop with vast majority of items buy it now or from far east.

I got a reply back referring to me as the dreaded "friend" which all Chinese sellers seem to refer to buyers as in my experience. Definitely no reference on the page that says they ship from China.
