Why dont the expressway buses use the express lane at the tolling booths. Seems an unnecessary delay to have to go by the window and interacting with the tolling booths people.

Any reason a bus can't use the express lane?

Because their for cars only and have metal height beams meaning if you hit it it's an accident ......

9 times out of 10 bus Eireann and expressway coaches have toll tags, it's just a slow down at the booth for the tag to read and barrier to lift

Car adapted vans are the biggest thing that can fit through most of them. I would hope that as tag adoption keeps growing they can move to the continental system of having open lanes with camera enforced fines and booths for occasional users
