Hopefully someone can help me here !

I read in a thread here a while ago of a UK site that sold prior year road bikes at good prices , especially the Boardmans. It wasn't chain reaction or wiggle or anything well known and I can't for the life of me find the thread I seen it in.

Would anyone know the store I mean ( long shot) or another option ?

    Cheers !!!!!

Dont know that specific one, but the bike rental companies on the continent often do it.
Try Girona Bike Breaks https://www.gironacyclecentre.com/. I can vouch for the quality of their rental bikes (mostly Cannondale).

I bought a bike from this crowd last year
    https://www.rutlandcycling.com/

I got a 2016 Giant Defy 1[1] in April 2017 including delivery it cost me €770, i would have been €1,259 euro in Ireland in 2016.

The bike arrived about 2 weeks later (which was a little longer then it was supposed to take but not excessively), I had to install the front wheel and handle bars when it arrived, after that it was good to go. I also spent some time indexing the gears but I'm not sure if this was really necessary.

I've been happy with the bike ever since.

I did contact them in June about some mysterious creaking around the bottom bracket there reply was to try and get service for it (I had said I wouldn't be able to send it back), in the end the creaking went away when got cleats and changes the pedals.

pauls cycles sell year old models heavily discounted. Bought a full sus Kona and Hard tail trek for the oh back in 2008 and have the full sus frame warrantied changed twice due to cracks... so they are all above board. highly recommend them. https://www.paulscycles.co.uk/
