Just spotted one of my headlight brackets is broken today.

It has two long brackets and two short ones,a short one has broken. The headlight is still solidly secured by the other mounting brackets, the alignment hasn't been knocked off and it hasn't led to any internal damage,as it's half way up the bracket itself.

I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a suitable glue for the job,it's black abs plastic.

I got a tip off here , use a soldering iron to heat up the plastic around the clip basically filling it in. No glue needed. Give it a try

Id say some form of 2 pack epoxy would do it.
You could try to reinforce the joint by melting some metal into it.
You can also get headlight bracket repair kits for some car models from the main dealers.

If you are sure that it is ABS you can get solvent based cement specifically for this. I've seen it at work for ABS pipes.

Gorilla glue.... I've glued cracks in car bumpers with this stuff and it never gave. Its the glue of glues and it doesn't crack or break down over time like super glue for example. Its also water resistant.
