Clutch has just gone on my TOyota Corrola Verso (2007). I got the AA to tow it to my local garage and they will look at it on Monday. Any idea if this is a major job/expensive job? TIMing is terrible, just before Christmas, money tight, Im desperatly hoping its not going to be an expensive job....

Are you including a dmf at that money?

    Yes

Are they generally replaced with the clutch? Or only if they're actually noisy or vibrating?

I would say so others probably know more here.

Yes, the labour itself is around 250. If one is doing clutch, there will be no labour to change DMF.

But it being 2007, my money is on 1.8 petrol.

    2007 could be a 2.2 diesel too?

I'd agree with the above prices, around €400 petrol, maybe €900 diesel.

If it's a diesel and it's still on it's original flywheel it's definitely worth changing if you plan on keeping the car another year or two even if there are no stmptoms.

It's very unlikely to be diesel, being an 07. Petrol outsold diesel 22:1

I reckon it will be 1.6 as they were the most common

Yep, we only got the 1.8 with the awful MMT gearbox in Ireland

I only ever sold one new diesel Verso from 2004 to 2008. I think it was €6000 more or something crazy. They were a great yoke to go though.

Toyota are pushing the petrol/hybrid hard again now @op I paid 360 for a clutch in a 1.6 petrol avensis a few years ago.
