Laptop advice

Old laptop has bit the dust so I'll be looking into getting a new one soon, or might stick it out till after Christmas for the sales. I've picked out a few from looking around though, wondering if anyone has any opinions or alternatives. Basically want fast general use and full HD screen, that's about it.

The Argos Acer one is 566 euro (prob could Parcel Motel it) or just 599 euro from the Irish site. I'm tempted by the first one with the SSD as all I seem to read is how much better an SSD is and realistically I won't be needing a full 1TB HDD.

Out of that bunch I would have the HP with the SSD too. 256GB is more than enough storage for most people. And it is loads for Windows 10 and a lot of applications too. And you're right in thinking that it would make it faster. It would be a lot faster than the other two. It should turn on in seconds really.

However, that model of HP is cheap and cheerful at the same time. It is a big chunk of a laptop and I wouldn't go expecting too much in terms of quality materials. It should be fine, but just don't lose sight of how much this costs. It's a good deal nonetheless.
